I was never in a rush to get married and have kids. I wanted to go to grad school. I wanted a career. I still ended up marrying my high school sweetheart; we just took our sweet time getting there.
For many years I wrote home features and food columns. Now I’m a full-time stay-at-home mom to a 6-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl. Our life plods along at a pleasant pace. We get out the door quickly when we need to and stay in our pajamas all morning when we can.
